Anything But... I started to tack up Angel. Her white pelt was as clean as a whistle. She nipped at me as I put her bridle and saddle on. But I only got one small cut from her teeth. When I was done with that I ran to the barn. She was tied up standing their ears laying down. I ran back carrying a packet of Apple Munchies. Angel's favorite. I stood infront of her. I reached into the packet and took out a Apple Cookie. She quickly took it from my hand. Then ate away. Slow down. Don't choke. I unclipped the ropes from her headpiece. I jumped into the saddle. She quickly replied with a snort. Then she reared but I held on tight. I expected her to do that. Haven't you realized yet that this is your normal routine? I kicked her flank. She started to side-step. I kicked them again. She ran at full speed. I held on tight and pulled on the reins yelling 'Hoe!'. She stopped sharply. I quickly slid to her neck. We weren't even close to one-fourth of the way. I just sat there. She wouldn't move without a kick in the flank. Let's get you a drink before we actually get somewhere. I jumped off and led her to the side of the river. Their was bluegill in the river and Angel looked at them with fright. Shhh, shh, calm down. They won't bite. There was multiple posts alongside the river. I tied her up to one of them. She jumped into the river. The rope let her roam around without getting loose. She pranced in the river. And occassionally darted out of the river because of a bluegill near her hooves. Then she quietly got a drink in the river. Me.

b i gblack Maybe a trail ride wasn't a good idea. But, hey, Bella had to see how Soilder did under the English saddle. See which he liked better; Western or English. So far, neither looked good. The girl sat tall on top her already large horse, relaxing in the saddle. She had lunged him for fourty-five minutes before, and over half the time he was doing an extended canter. Surprisingly, he did quite well at lunging. He just loved to run. His mean attitude was lost... and he was, well, nice.
If only she could say that now. Though he was tired, his spirit wasn't dampened. Soilder took the opertunity to shy and spook at everything from a twig in his way to a leaf falling on a different path, which was visible every now and then through the dense foilage. Bella had fallen off twice, when she was caught by surprise. The stallion seemed to enjoy rearing at things that might actually be scary to horses. Like a bird. Sitting in a tree. Sleeping. Barely visible, only it's head peeking up above the nest. Apparentlly it was the most frightening thing Soilder had ever seen, that and a nut falling from a large tree somewhere in the distance. Other than that, the fifteen-year-old was doing pretty good up in the saddle. And at getting back on the huge Thoroughbred. All in one graceful motion, she would swing up into the saddle before he had time to protest her swift movements. And that was how they entered the area of the river, where a girl was already letting her horse drink. Just as Bella was opening her mouth to say hi, a fish leapt about an inch out of the water, and her stallion decided that was even more terrifying than the squirrel. Before she knew what was happening, Bella felt the equine beneath her backing up quickly. She brought her heels down hard to his sides, and he responded with a little half rear. Oh yes. She remembered.
Something like this had happened when she was twelve. She had been riding a crazy gelding. Really crazy. And he spooked at the ice cream truck. So he began to back up. Bella, panicking slightly, squeezed hard against his sides. That crazed gelding reared and went over then, with the pale-skinned girl. Of course, she wasn't seriously injured, but learned that if a horse ever began to back up, you must drop the reins. And so she did. And Soilder seized the opportunity eagerly.
The stallion charged into the river, dropping his rider in it as she leaned forwards for the reins. But still, he just stood there as always. His game wasn't over yet.

Anything But... Amanda watched the big stallion's movements. He was the meanest of all the horses at the academy and she had to assign him to a girl. But that girl wasn't just an ordinary girl, she was a girl with dreams of becoming the best rider. Amanda trusted her to do the right thing. To show him who's boss one day.
But would that day ever come?
Angel trotted over to the stallion. Her white coat wet from frolicking in the river. She was pretty mean herself but around other horses she's a doll. She nuzzled his neck. Not aware of how he would reply. And if he would reply nasty. Angel would give him a big whallop. And may cause serious injury. And we all know that that would leave Amanda and Bella devistated. Amanda waited for the worst to come. She held her breath as Angel stood there waiting for the stallion's reply. [/sub] Me

b i gblack Soaking wet, Bella stood up, shivering. The river was cold. Soilder watched, more amused than ever now. But only for a few brief seconds, for the other mare had journeyed over by the large stallion. This was very bad. Only standing a few feet away from Soilder, Bella decided it was time to get out of the way. She stood no chance. There was no way she could slip the reins over his head and get a tight hold of him now. It was just too late. Quickly, she scrambled onto the shore beside Amanda. The girl was one year her senior, but that really didn't matter know as she turned and held her breath, waiting for her horse to destroy the mare.
For a long moment Soilder stood there, staring at the ivory mare, wondering at all these horses nerves. First that spunky colt this morning, and now the mare. He had to hand it to her; she was pretty. And... his stallion instincts were coming now... fighting them away, he withdrew and gave a half-rear, unsure of what to do. He should attack her. Should. But would he? Deciding, Soilder came down from his rear, splashing water up. He lunged for the ivory equine, extending his neck to give her a nip in a herding motion, telling her to get out of the water. He could survive just being her boss, if she listened.
Bella didn't let out her breath, only watched for what the horses would do next.

Anything But... Angel reared and knocked at Soldier's shoulder. Then she nipped at his neck. She was the decendant of a champion racer and a champion puller. So she could do anything she wanted. She put her ears back. Waiting for him to lunge or kick at her....
Then she did it...
She kicked his face. It wasn't hard but enough to make him dizzy or disorientated. Maybe something would happen. Something amazing. Maybe she would teach him a lesson. To be nice for once. That would be a mirical. Amanda was in horror as she watched the horses. Even more in horror to what Angel did to Soldier. But, how would he reply. Submission, or a kick, or a little nip? There was so much worry. [/sub] Me

Shannon watched from far away. She couldnt make out who was who, becuase she didnt put her contacts in. Leading Bubby over to the two people, she noticed that the horses where fighting with two people on the ground. She got a good grip on the reins and good seat in the western saddle. Then she gave Bubby a kick and set off at a canter. Settling in the canter she noticed that it was big black. She wasnt the only one either. Bubby stopped suddenly sending Shannon flying on his neck. He took one look at the horse and started to tense up. Shannon could only imagine what he was going to do.

Anything But... Amanda turned to see Shannon and Bubby watching Big Black and Winged Province. They were far enough where Bubby couldn't get into Angel and Soldier's fight. Angel smashed her body into his shoulder. Then bit it at the same time. This wasn't the first time she has fought a stallion. She has conquered many stallions. One by one. Once a clydesdale. Of course, he was old. He only bled a little but he admitted defeat. But black was meaner...
Amanda couldn't stand watching her two year old mare get hurt. Soldier was older. Maybe he knew more than Angel. It was a equal fight. Both horses were equal. Which made the winner unknown. And who would fall or submit. Angel had shows to go to. She couldn't stand getting an injury. It would ruin the show. Her first show. And maybe her last. Her last... or maybe her last move forever.
So Amanda thought in horror of what could happen. Three horses were around. Three horse riders. Maybe they could teach Soldier a lesson. But not know. Two riders were horseless and one horse has already delt with Soldier and is probably scared out of their skin. So, its unpredicatable. Me.

Preciouse Moments Preciouse? Pft, Use it while it lasts...
Amy smiled and pushed her boot into the stirrup. The bay thoroughbred twisted her head around to try and nip at Amy. Giggling Amy quickly placed herself apun the mares back and tightened her reins. Yes, a trail ride. Captive stood patiently and with several nudges she moved off at a trot, her ears pinned to her scalp. Amy sat deep into the saddle and gave small tugs at the reins. Captive settled into the walk and kept it going. Amy re;axed into the saddle, Capp's beat was very relaxing yet forward in movement. Captive soon accepted the fact of being ridden and perked her ears excitedly. Amy smiled, happy with the mares enthusiastic walk. Nudging Captive gently she moved into a rising trot, Amys heart leaping with excitment. Amy felt the mare suddenly tense beneath her, 'Whoaing' the thoroughbred. Orbs skanned the trails.Nothing. Gazing into a bending corner the15 yearold pulled Captive back into a medium walk.
The shrilled sound of whinnies cursed through the ears of both horse and rider. Both acting as one, tensing, gasping. The violent neighs gave chills down a persons spine and caused a horses heart to race faster in utter curiosity. Captive snorted halting abruptly and gazing straight ahead, nasal-passages flairing, trying to catch a wif of a scent. Any scent was satisfactory. Ah, Atlast the mares goal had been acheived and she began to prance on the spot. Amy grinned but little did she know what layed ahead. A catastrophe, a fight, a war, violence, screams, fear...It was all coming and fast...
Amys eyes widened at the sight of the three horses two with bare saddles but one with a rider. Big Black..Oh Gosh. A stallion! Amy gasped, you have to be silly to take a stallion trail riding but then again, its unfair if you cant. Captive was strong, got into fights easily but she is hard to scare. Amy tighened the grip on her reins. Captive snorted and backed up but with a rear lunged herself forth, harks pinned to her scalp, teeth beared. Amy took a firm hold of the reins in one hand and slapped her other hand hard against the thoroughbreds rump. "Whee There" the soothed, her voice shaking. Captive, slightly startled, burst around in the other direction awaty from the horses, pigrooting several times before standing to watch the batttle, blood pumping through her veins faster than ever, her heart burstibg with adrenalin. "What can I do?" Amy yeeled to the two girls. [/size]

Anything! Just help me get my horse! Amanda was running around the two horses. Angel was lunging at Big Black. She was holding her leg up and she had some blood on her shoulder. Big Black also had some blood. But no broken injuries. Ohhh... um. Amanda kept saying to herself.

Preciouse Moments
C a p t i v e Captive was not the kind of horse that liked getting herself between her enemy stallions, and a fight. But Amy had to try, nudging Captives side the bay mare burst forwards, her harks pinned to her glossy scalp, her banner held high. "Good Girl Captive.." Amy muttered. As Captive came closer to the two Amy reached forwards and took hold of Angel's reins, jerked her back and pulled her away. The mare dident seem pleased but staggered slowly behind. Amy dismounted quickly and held the two mares away from eachother, Captive was in heat and she may have made the mistake of interfeering with Blacks anger. Amy pulled her crop out of the gullet of the saddle to make sure Big Black stayed away "Someone get him!"Amy said, a hint of frustration lurking in her voice.

Amanda ran towards Angel. She grabbed her and soothed her. Bella get your horse! Now! Amanda pulled Angel back. Anger was in Angel's whinnies. Calm down girl. Everything's allright. She whispered to Angel a she examined her wounds. Not to bad. Yet not to good either. She yelled. Angels front right leg was sprained and she had multiple cuts. Hurry! [/sub]

Preciouse Moments
C a p t i v e Amy was awaiting a thankyou but none met her ears. She frowned but soon got over it. Half halting Captive two had her ears pinned to her scalp and her teeth bared she soothed the mare and walked her away, to stand a fair way off. The thoroughbred whinnied, as if she was calling the stallion to her, but Captive hated stallions, maybe it was the fact she was in heat, or maybe she was looking for a fight. Amy held the mare tightly, her voice soothing the bay mare gently "Whoa There Pretty, everythings ok now, steady there..." Amy cringed her words wherent factual but still she had to help Cap calm down. Captive swung her hounches towards Angel "Cap!" Amy pulled her around again and trotted her further away. Bella could only stare in horror as her horse bled, and caused Angel to bleed. She wondered what a horrible rider she was that she wasn't even able to stay up on top of her horse and let the large stallion get into a fight. But others had come to help, and that would be good. But it wouldn't ease her embarrasment. Taking a deep breath, trying to do what Amanda told her to do, and splashed into the river, motioning for the girl on the other thoroughbred to watch out. And get her horse far away, just in case.
Soilder wasn't happy. His fight had been interrupted. Ears were pinned, and he stomped his hoof unhappily in the rushing water. But that didn't last long; there was another victim to unleash his rath upon. It was a mare, though. A mare in heat. The smell filled his nostrils, and stallion insticts came. He couldn't help himself; she was a tall thoroughbred, like himself, and she was in heat. Stallions knew what to do then. Who cared that she had a rider? The girl could just jump off. Eagerly, he began toward the chestnut. Until he saw Bella coming at him.
The girl and horse both paused for a moment, each wondering what to do and what the other would do. Soilder moved first. He knew that she would try and stop him from reaching his destination, so the stallion rose up on two legs, pawing the air in front of him in a rear, warning Bella. She only moved off to the side, avoiding the flailing hooves. She would catch her crazed stallion. Reaching up for the reins that were now dangling lifeless at his sides, she clamped her fingers on them just at the moment Soilder decided he had enough. He bit Bella, and a large amount of blood was summoned. Oh well. She had other things to worry about.
Biting her lip, thoughts wirred through her mind for a split-second. She knew what had to be done. Bella could control him better when she was riding him, though it was dangerous. He didn't listen to her on the ground as he did when she was on his back. Soaked boot was placed in the stirrup and she swung into the saddle easily, keeping a firm hand on the reins, not letting him take a step forwards. When he tried, she pulled. Not jerked, just pulled back until he stopped. And so, there they stood, both bleeding, in the middle of the river.
Soilder gave a half-hearted buck, and Bella stayed on and pulled his head up. Then she looked to Amanda, hoping to know what the hell she was supposed to do.

Amanda looked around. She was speechless and was completely stumped on what to do. She had nothing. She didn't know a stinken thing to do.
Ever since she met Soldier she knew he was a big horse from hell. But she didn't want to let him be put down for good. So she bought him. For free.
I'll hop onto Angel! Amy! Hop onto Captive! Do whatever you have to do to get on her back! Anyone got some rope or something like rope? She figured she had to capture him somehow. So she'll catch him like the wild stallion he is. [/sub]
