Shannon led Spotted With Bubbles down to the beach. His spotted coat shimmered in the morning sunlight. Shannon wasn't using a saddle. The only thing she was using was a Hackamore. Bubby walked on relaxing, with his hoofs sinking in the sand. The ocean made a soft splash against the sand. Shannon led Bubby into the splashing water on the shore. He nickered lowly, and then started to trot. Shannon decided to let him. Pushing him into a canter, they ran in the shallow water with the wind blowing in there faces.

b i gblack Bella clenched her teeth together as Soilder sidestepped quickly, crushing her leg against a tree. Feeling more than slightly angry, but knowing better than to let it show, she used her uncrushed leg to give him a good hard kick. Ears flattened, the large black stallion moved away from the tree. Then he continued his little show, following with a little half-rear. The fifteen-year-old wasn't phased. she gave the stallion more rein, wondering how trained Soilder was. It had taken her over half and hour to get him saddled and briddled--it wasn't easy, especially trying to get that breast collar over his chest. He wouldn't let her tack him up in the stall, so she had to clip the lead rope on him and take him to the cross ties. That cleared everyone out of the way.
Train of thought was broken as Soilder sensed lack of attention and broke into a jog. If it weren't for Bella's good seat in the saddle, she would've been pitched backward, maybe even off the saddle. But she wasn't. And she urged him on into a lope, and he responded easily, going slightly faster than the normal western horse. Deciding that she would work with him in English later--once she had him under control and dared risking a saddle that wasn't as large and lazy as the Western one--Bella pulled back on the reins a bit, tightening her grip. Yes, he was a Thoroughrbed.
Nevertheless, it was a fun ride. He surprised her with a buck once, but she was ready for the next few. And, with all the swerving and bucking and even a bit of rearing--trying to unseat his new rider--she only fell off once. For some reason, Soilder stood by her when she fell, waiting for her to get up. Looking at the playful gleam in his eye, she knew this was a game. Not the normal test horses give you, but a game. He wanted to see how many times he would throw her off before she gave up on him. Filled with determination, Bella seized the reins and climbed back on, or at least tried to. He crab-stepped and she fell flat on her face, this time getting a shorter grip on the reins as she lifted her leg high to the stirrup. With little effort, she swung into the sadle and the game was on agian. That was the only time she fell of on the way to the beach, though Bella hadn't a clue that was there on the way.

Shannon listened to the calm ocean waves and the splashing as Bubby walked around in the water. Shannon's hair blew back in the wind. This was kind of like home. Except in Whyoming, there where ponds and creeks in stead of oceans, and endless lines of Mountains. Her horse back home was named Vixen. Her parents told her she could bring the western horse if she was good and and got good grades. She got her horse a year or two before she came to this boarding school. And then she had to leave. Heartbroken, Shannon went away from home for two days. Sleeping in the fields with the moon light shining down on her.
Then something ruptured her thoughts. Spotted with Bubbles started to get ancy and was looking around. Then shannon saw it. A girl was on a huge horse. Much taller than bubby. Shannon then knew that Bubbys two year old personality kicked in. He reared and tried to go over to the unfamiliar horse. Shannon pulled on the reins, but he ignored them. He finally stopped when they got to the horse. Shannon got back in controll.

b i gblack Soilder saw the appaloosa the same time that it saw him. Immediately his ears pinned back, glued to his glossy poll. He let out a warning rumble, his sides making Bella's leg vibrate. Instantly her stomach dropped. When they told her that Soilder hated other horses, she didn't exactly think that they meant it... she thought that he was just so mean to the people that they decided to make the big black stallion a nasty one to equines, too... All of a sudden, she felt her mount spring into action. The colt had ventured too close to her rough and rowdy stallion. Now he and his rider--maybe even Bella--would end up paying the price. Gritting her teeth together now more than ever, she took up a tight hold on the reins as Soilder lunged at the smaller one.
His teeth missed their mark as Bella delivered him a hard kick and a sharp tug on the reins. She had long since figured out that his bit wasn't effective at all; she would need a different one. He had found a way to bite it so it barely pulled on his mouth. But he had let it go to bite Bubby. Instantly, the girl knew what she had done. Feeling more than awful, Bella leaned forward to inspect his mouth. That was a mistake. The stallion felt her weight shift forward, and, mouth foaming from all the sweat, put his head down and bucked. Bella fell softly in the sand, and looked up in time to see her crazy horse go for a kicking attack at the appaloosa. She let her eyelids fall over her icy blue eyes and dropped her head back down to the earth. Maybe when she looked again, it would be over. Hopefully Soilder wouldn't step on her.

Shannon tried to keep a good grip on the reins. Bubby squeled as the big stallion tried to get at him. Pulling on the reins, she tried to get a good grip with her legs. Having no saddle, she had to use her legs alot. The black stallion went to bite Bubby, but he got shannons leg instead. Shannon screamed. The scream scared Bubby so he reared. Shannon fell off the colts back. Bubby noticed his rider was off and looked at her to see if she was going to get back on, but he got kicked. Soon he was trying to get the other stallion.

b i gblack The stallion's stirrups flapped at his side as he turned at a canter. Time for the second attack. Long and lean ebony legs pounded the sandy earth, working extra hard on this unfamiliar terrian. Sweat was gathering on his gleaming coat, making it shine even more, though not in the nice way it had before. Breath wasn't that heavy--yet. Just noticing in time the girl on the ground, he gave a small grunt and did his best to jump over her. He made it, but barely. He wasn't used to this movable ground. But that wouldn't handi-cap him anymore.
So the colt wanted to fight. That was fine with him--though he couldn't really understand why. He was the largest, meanest horse at the stables, and knew he would be for years to come. Soilder just liked picking fights where they obviously didn't belong. He just liked the joy of winning, even if he was punished by the humans. Who he might secretly like... well, some of them. If they earned his respect. Which was nearly impossible. The stallion really would like to be out in the wild, though. It would be nice. And if all the horses here were out there, too... he could have his own herd. After all, he was the leader of the stable's herd. He controlled them all. And so he made that apparent as he extended his neck to nip at the colt's rump in a kind of herding motion, slowly sliding to a stop a safe distance away. He would give the appaloosa a chance to say he was sorry, realize that he could not win against the large Thoroughbred, even though he was untacked and Soilder had the disadvantage of being ladden with saddle and bridle. For this, he blamed Bella.
Who lay on the ground, unmoving. Only the rise and fall of her chest showed that she wasn't dead as her eyes were squeezed shut, praying that she wouldn't get trampled by her violent mount. She wasn't injured at all now, for the ground was soft because of the sand. It was rockless and shellless, nothing threatening to dig into her tender skin. It was pretty nice... if she got over the fact that at any moment she could be killed or seriously injured by either the colt or stallion if she didn't move soon...

The colt jumped forwards. He felt like he was on fire. The look in his eyes showed it. Then he stood still next to his owner. Legs spread and ready for anything and his head down. His what was soft body was now speckeled with sweat and sand. Staring at the stallions eyes he breathed slowly. Calming down. His hackamore reings lay on the ground still attachted to him. He checked to see if Shannon was still there.
She lay in the soft sand. She head the hooves and breathing of the fighting horses. Both stallions, one colt. It wasnt too pretty. She held onto her leg from where the big black bit her when trying ot get Bubby. There was blood. Not a whole lot. But it was there. Shannon held tight on to her leg. Her jeans where ruined. Holding her eyes shut she wished for the best.....

b i gblack Soilder stood, breathing heavily. This colt wasn't saying he was sorry. The appaloosa was... ignoring him. His barrel rumbled with a warning call, telling him it was time to show submissiveness. If that colt had any brains at all, he'd know that the stallion was not one to be messed with. Though, he might not. He might need to be shown what Soilder could do, to be put in his place.
Bella sat up, seeing the other girl. She was bleeding. Feeling awful, she stood up, using the horse that was right beside her for support as she stopped shaking. She always shook when she fell, because of the shock of being tall in the saddle one moment and sprawled on the ground the next. Soilder gave her a dirty look; it was he whose mane Bella grabbed. Instantly she let go, and the stallion gave her a half-hearted nip, intended not to hurt but to warn. "Oh, shut up, you big jerk." She snapped at him, slapping his nose and watching him withdraw it quickly and surprisedly. Then the pale skinned girl turned to the bleeding one. "I'm really sorry... I guess Soilder is just unsocial. You okay?" Bella would've walked over to help her up, but she was clutching tight to her stallion's reins, praying he wouldn't take off.

Bubby stood still and glared at the other stallions he stomped her foot to get rid of a fly and smacked his tail around. Part of it wasnt for the fly, but for soldier. He took a step to the side and kept glaring at the stallion. The much much taller black stallion. He eyes on fire. Soon he decided to ignore the stallion and put his attention on Shannon. Plus, he had enough of this evil stallion.
Shannon watched the girl come over. She listened to what she had to say. Umm. Yeah....just a little blood. But the blood stain was getting bigger by the minuets that went by. Shannon pressed her hand up to it to try to stop the bleeding.

b i gblack Soilder was not satisfied with this response. He lunged forward to bite the colt, right on the shoulder. He thought he felt horseflesh between his teeth, but couldn't be sure. Even so, if he had given the appaloosa a good enough bite, he would be happy. If that final attack had hit it's mark, then he would be satisfied. He really should be hovering by the colt, but he decided to see what Bella was doing laying face-first in the sand, still holding the reins. Oh. She had tried to hang on. Eyes gleamed with laughter as he returned to her rider, giving her another playful, non-hurting nip as he returned. She might just be more fun than he imagined.
Bella rolled onto her back and sat up once more, giving a half-hearted jerk on the reins to scold him. She knew it was too late for punishment right now, she had to act on the moment. But still, she could try. Using him for support once more, she pulled herself to her feet, recieving another nip from him. She slapped his nose, and he pulled his head away from her. "I'm really sorry... he's just a butt head." Bella apologized, pulling the bit out of Soilder's teeth and letting it rest where it was supposed to in his mouth. "Ohhh... we better get you back. C'mon. Can you ride... umm.... you're horse back? I don't think you want to ride Soilder..."

Bubby screamed as the stallion bite his shoulder the fire in his eyes seemed to be burning hott and ready to explode. Glaring at the horse he screamed. Tearing after him, he ran into him with his front hoofs, then he reared high in the air before running in a huge circle. Not sure to stay with his owner or leave for the barn. He decided to stay and ran in a huge circle. His bodience was sweaty and hott. He didnt know what to do. In pain right now because of his cut he stopped and looked at his rider who called his name.
Bubby! She screamed at him as she saw him lunge at Soldier and then go in circles. She knew that he couldnt win the fight, and he could get hurt. Like her. She then wondered about what her parents would say about this. If they found out, she would never get to see her horse untill summer. She sighed and tried to stand up. With just a little pressure on her leg, it didnt hurt, but if it was too much. She didnt know how she was going to use her legs. She was still shaking, and tired. She whisteled for Bubby.

Bella watched in utter horror as Bubby came back to Soilder after being bitten. Oh, this totally and completely sucked. With a firmer than ever grip on the reins, Bella dug her heels into the ground--now she wished that it would've been harder, even if that meant getting a few bruises from falling--and awaited both equine's next moves. The colt was circling them, and a strong feeling of dread was sinking her heart with every passing second. She watched as Soilder readied his hind legs to kick. He gave a small buck, not attempting to hit Bubby, but warning him to stay away. He had had enough of this fight and was hungry and thirsty and just wanted to get back to his stall. Though the large and proud stallion hated to admit it, he'd give up if the appaloosa did.
Biting her lip, Bella watched to see what would happen next. Would the colt attack? What would happen then? Though he did look strong, he was much shorter than her large stallion. He didn't really stand a chance, unless he had some extra power buried somewhere in his young body. "Are you okay?" Bella yelled to the other girl once more, hoping she'd answer this time.
